COD Mobile crosses 500 million downloads globally, developers giving away free gifts to players

To cash in on the popularity, major game publishers have been launching the mobile version of their popular PC titles, like COD Mobile. Publisher Activision launched the mobile version of its legendary franchise, Call of Duty, on 1st October 2019.

Over the intervening months, mobile gaming has grown exponentially, thanks to smartphones getting more powerful and data becoming highly affordable.

COD Mobile became an instant success and crossed the 100 million downloads mark in the first week, while it reached the 150 million mark in the first month itself. A few months back, popular data analyst firm Sensor Tower reported that the lifetime revenue for Call of Duty Mobile had crossed the 640 million USD mark worldwide.

In the latest development, COD Mobile announced on its social media pages that they had crossed 500 million downloads. This mark came in about 19 months, while the game had crossed the 270 million download milestone in the first year of launch.

To celebrate the milestone, Activision is giving ten Radio Current crates to all players through the in-game mail.

About Call of Duty Mobile

COD Mobile is a free-to-play shooter developed by TiMi Studios and published by Activision. It is built on the Unity Engine and is available on both platforms, i.e., Android and iOS. The game offers fast gameplay and smooth graphics on different maps and modes.

COD Mobile esports

In association with Sony Mobile, Activision had announced the COD Mobile Championship 2020, a 1 million USD prize pool championship. However, the event was canceled due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, and the prize pool was distributed equally among seven regional champions.

On April 14th, 2021, the publisher announced the second edition, the COD Mobile Championship 2021, which will commence in June.

Apex Legends Season 9: Top 5 locations with high-tier loot and quick rotations on World’s Edge

Respawn Entertainment has recently released an update for Apex Legends Season 9.

Apex Legends’ Worlds Edge is considered the most balanced map for competitive play. The map has finally returned for the current season and players are enjoying it. Third-partying is inevitable in Apex Legends and players will want to land in the best locations to gear up before taking up fights. The map is more open and with countless POIs, vaults, blast walls, and randomized dropship patterns, it’s easy to feel lost when roaming World’s Edge or trying to find a good drop spot.

In this article, we will discuss the best paths to take in World’s Edge if a player wants to get the guns and gear for the battle ahead.

Top 5 locations with high-tier loot and quick rotations on World’s Edge in Apex Legends

#5-Skyhook

Skyhook is a loot-infused fragment of a city, and players who want to arm up can find plenty of gear scattered around the numerous buildings. It’s a popular landing location, however, so be ready to scavenge the buildings quickly and prepare for a fight. If the player is playing defensive characters like Caustic or Wattson, it will be advantageous to take early fights in this area in Apex Legends. Players can easily relocate to The Epicenter whenever needed.

#4-The Train Yard

The Train Yard is located near the center of the map, west of Fragments East and West in Apex Legends. As the name suggests, this area has many train carriages to duck into and collect loot from. The POI is filled with loot, which makes it a prime destination. High-tier loots can be obtained from this place. The train also stops here. They also have a few carriages suspended in the air for sniping. Players can easily relocate to Countdown if required.

#3-The Epicenter

As the name suggests, Epicenter is the dead center of the map in Apex Legends. The Epicenter is a large drill tower that was the source of the “Meltdown” accident that lead to the abandonment of World’s Edge. Its frozen central tower can easily be seen as far as Hill Valley. A lot of high-tier loot is available in this location and it is among the best initial drop locations. If one of the teammates lands in the tower and takes the high ground, other members can contest enemies quite easily. There is plenty of cover available, and it is one of the easiest locations to fight in if a player is well aware of the area inside out.

Relocation to Survey Camp, Refinery, Fragment West, and Fragment East is very easy because The Epicenter is located in the middle of all these areas.

#2-The Geyser

The Geyser is a small facility to the east of the map with its namesake Geyser, which can be used like a Jump Tower, located in the middle. It is located south of Underpass, east of The Ridge and Sorting Factory, and north of Lava City. Its snakelike corridors also have plenty of high-tier loot for the squad. Players lucky enough to get a vault key may visit the vault in the tunnels north of the POI. Players can easily relocate to the Sorting Factory or the Lava City as required.

#1-Fragment East & Fragment West

Fragment East and West are the remnants of Capitol City after the devastation brought about by the arrival of the Planet Harvester in Apex Legends. It contains most of the former Capitol City, including one of the largest parking lots and eight of its buildings. It contains the rest of the still-standing Capitol City buildings and a couple of destroyed ones. The train station for Capital City is also in this area. Both the places are full of High-Tier loots, and a lot of players prefer dropping in this location. Players can easily relocate to The Epicenter if required.

Genshin Impact: Is the upcoming Eula banner worth all the hype?

Genshin Impact: Is the upcoming Eula banner worth all the hype?

Before version 1.5 of Genshin Impact runs its course, players will have the chance to wish for a new, powerful five-star character.

The current Zhongli banner ends in about a week, meaning Eula’s release in Genshin Impact is just around the corner. Many players have saved up their Primogems in hopes of pulling Eula, and they can soon test their luck in the second and likely final character event banner coming to the game in version 1.5.

Is Genshin Impact’s upcoming Eula banner worth all the hype?

As soon as the current event banners end, Genshin Impact will unveil Eula’s banner, rumored to be called “Born of Ocean Swell.”

Like with every character event banner, Eula’s banner will have increased drop rates for three four-star characters. Based on trusted leaks, players can expect Eula’s banner to feature Xingqiu, Xinyan, and Beidou as four-star characters.

All of these characters should complement Eula nicely and be solid support units on her team. Xingqiu is commonly regarded as one of the very best support units in the game, with an incredibly powerful Elemental Burst that will help create Freeze reactions in tandem with Eula’s abilities.

Because Xingqiu works so well for so many teams, players who don’t plan on getting Eula might consider putting a few wishes on the banner to get some of his powerful constellations.

Meanwhile, Xinyan has solid physical damage output and can spread Pyro to enemies using her shields. Beidou is also good at infusing her element, Electro, to many enemies at once. And with the Electro reactions getting buffed in 1.6, using Beidou and Eula for Superconduct reactions will soon be even more effective.

How good will Eula be in Genshin Impact?

Even though it’s nice to get constellations for the featured four star characters, most players will only wish on the upcoming banner if they plan on using Eula as a main DPS.

To help players predict how strong Eula will really be, data miners have been keeping track of Eula’s base stats and damage multipliers. And ever since they discovered some pre-release buffs to Eula’s normal attacks and Burst ability, it has been clear that the new Cryo claymore-wielder will be one of the best main DPS options in the game.

Data records predict Eula with level 10 normal attack talent will have stronger damage multipliers than the best current claymore wielder, Diluc. Also, at level 10 Burst talent, her Lightfall Sword’s explosion scales an incredible 148.24% for every stack accumulated while the sword is present.

Note: The above tweet’s photo has an error for Eula’s three-hit DMG; it should read 112.28% x2, according to Honey DB.

Eula has the potential to carry teams with her great physical DMG output, and there’s good reason behind the hype for her banner. Her playstyle is also visibly unique for a claymore-wielder; she can perform five consecutive attacks, and her normal attack animation is arguably more graceful than most.

It’s up to players to decide whether Eula is worth the Primogems, or whether they’d rather save up for the rumored Klee re-run in 1.6, but players who pass up on Eula might be missing the best physical damage carry so far in Genshin Impact.

Disclaimer: This article takes leaked and unconfirmed information into consideration. The featured characters of the banner, as well as Eula’s final damage multipliers, are subject to change.
