‘My brother would demolish him’ – Mohammed Usman has a warning for Conor McGregor

Mohammed Usman believes a fight between his older brother, UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, and Conor McGregor would be disastrous for the Irishman.

While speaking to journalists at the PFL 3 pre-fight virtual media day, Mohammed Usman was asked to share his opinion on a potential clash between Kamaru Usman and Conor McGregor. The pair have been in social media altercations over the past few months, giving rise to discussions about how a potential fight between the two might play out. The younger Usman sibling predicted that Kamaru would destroy Conor McGregor with his wrestling and size advantage. Mohammed Usman said:

“My brother would demolish him, as simple as that… My brother is already big for that weight class anyway. So this guy just wants to come up there and test the waters. Like he says, it would be a red panty night. So we’ll love that, you know. But my brother will destroy him in that aspect of (fighting). That’s his division,” Mohammed Usman said.

Mohammed Usman (7-1 MMA) is slated to make his PFL debut against Brandon Sayles (5-1 MMA) on the undercard of PFL 3 headlined by Fabricio Werdum vs Renan Ferreira. Mohammed was an aspiring NFL player who made the switch to MMA after watching his brother Kamaru Usman’s success in the sport.

The beef between Kamaru Usman and Conor McGregor has escalated in recent times

Ever since his coronation as the two-division champion at UFC 205, Conor McGregor has spoken about his desire to become the first three-division champion in UFC history. McGregor’s cross-over fight with boxing great Floyd Mayweather, subsequent career trajectory and activity level have kept him away from title aspirations for a long time.

The Irishman openly hinted at wanting to fight Kamaru Usman following the latter’s TKO win over Colby Covington at UFC 245. Usman’s manager offered McGregor a welterweight title fight in 2020 but failed to draw any reaction from him. However, things changed after Kamaru Usman’s knockout win over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 261. A sarcastic tweet from Conor McGregor drew Kamaru Usman into a war of words for the first time.

Although Kamaru Usman vs Conor McGregor is a lucrative option, the fight does not seem to be a favorable matchup for the Irishman considering the stage of his career that he is at. From a one-dimensional wrestling-heavy fighter to a well-rounded finisher, Kamaru Usman has come a long way and the odds in a super-fight between the two seem to be heavily favoring the Nigerian nightmare.

IPL 2021: Most New Zealand IPL players to return home on Friday

Most New Zealand players, coaches and support staff who were involved in the suspended Indian Premier League will return home on a charter flight on Friday.

New Zealand Cricket said national captain Kane Williamson, Black Caps teammates Kyle Jamieson and Mitchell Santner and team physiotherapist Tommy Simsek will remain in a secure bubble in Delhi before flying to London on May 11.

An exemption to travel to England could not be obtained before that date.

New Zealand-based members of the New Zealand squad will fly to England on May 16 and 17 for a two Test series and to play India in the final of World Test Championship.

They will be joined by Williamson, Jamieson, Santer and Simsek once their isolation is completed.

Fast bowler Trent Boult will return to New Zealand on Friday’s charter flight, will spend time with his family after completing isolation and then will fly to England in early June, in time for the second Test against England.

UK-bound New Zealand cricketers to remain in India till May 10: Players’ union chief

The IPL was suspended on May 4 after players and staff in at least three of the eight competing franchises tested positive for the coronavirus which has swept through India in recent weeks.

More than 300,000 new cases per day have been recorded and the Indian health service is under severe strain.

Heath Mills, head of the New Zealand Cricket Players’ Association, said the New Zealand players were eager to leave India as soon as possible. But they, along with other overseas players, have had difficulty finding flights home or to other destinations.

IPL officials and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have worked to find places for overseas players on charter flights or scheduled commercial flights.

“We’ve worked closely with the BCCI and the IPL franchises on the various departure strategies and we’re very appreciative of their support during what is, clearly, a very challenging time,” NZC chief executive David White said.

“Were also very grateful to the England and Wales Cricket Board for accommodating the early arrival of the four members of The test squad currently in India.”

White said the New Zealand players would have COVID-19 tests prior to departure.

‘He was Khabib’s last non-title fight’ – Shane Burgos respects Edson Barboza’s resumé ahead of UFC 262

‘He was Khabib’s last non-title fight’ – Shane Burgos respects Edson Barboza’s resumé ahead of UFC 262

The UFC manages to bring fantasy or dream matchups into reality most of the time and that is the primary reason why we love watching MMA fights under the UFC umbrella.

Shane Burgos vs Edson Barboza is one such fight that has all the ingredients of becoming an instant classic. Scheduled for the UFC 262 event that will take place on May 15, 2021, the outcome of this fight is crucial for the featherweight division’s top ten.

Shane Burgos sat down for a candid chat with John Hyon Ko of Sportskeeda to share his thoughts on the fight. Contrary to his ‘kill-or-be-killed’ personality inside the octagon, Burgos is a respectful individual. Ahead of UFC 262, he admires his opponent Edson Barboza as rightfully one of the most respected and exciting fighters to watch. The prospect of scoring a win over a credentialled veteran like Barboza motivates Shane Burgos for the fight. Burgos said:

“Everybody knows who Edson Barboza is… If you’re not a fan of him then I don’t really think you’re a fan of the sport in general, ’cause he’s always fun to watch, he’s got a great style. Just his name value alone, I am excited to add that to my resume and have a win next to it.”

Burgos drew attention to the fact that Edson Barboza has only lost to the absolute best fighters in the UFC. Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson are on the list of fighters Barboza has lost against. All three of them went on to become champions after defeating Edson Barboza. Burgos continued:

“The guys that beat him, look at all the guys that have wins over him. I think that was like Khabib’s last non-title fight, I’m pretty sure. Khabib beat him, went for the title. So, everybody that has win over Edson Barboza, everybody knows that means something.”

Shane Burgos is looking forward to getting his hand raised at UFC 262

Shane Burgos and Edson Barboza are among the best strikers on the UFC roster. Both fighters are most comfortable competing in a striking battle, keeping the wrestling aside. Edson Barboza is arguably the most dynamic kicker in the UFC, having scored seven of his 21 professional wins by knockouts borne out of kicks or knees.

However, Edson Barboza needs a lot of movement and space around him to implement his fighting style. Burgos is a natural puncher who employs a high-pressure fighting style to wear down his opponents.

Shane Burgos believes this stylistic difference will make the fight fun to watch. But the 30-year-old is confident that his high-pressure fighting style will play to his advantage and take away much-needed space from Barboza.

“He’s more kick-based and oriented and I am more punch-based and oriented. So I think that little contrast is going to be fun. He likes to move around and I like to come forward and I think that my style is going to be to my advantage,” Shane Burgos said.

With things slowly returning to normalcy, the UFC is bringing live audience back to its events. Shane Burgos vs Edson Barboza will serve as the opening bout of the stacked UFC 262 pay-per-view card on May 15, 2021.

In his eight-fight UFC career, Shane Burgos has received three ‘fight of the night’ bonuses for his efforts, courtesy of his fan-friendly fighting style. Burgos is well aware of the excitement and entertainment value he brings to the UFC. As always, he promises to enter the UFC octagon on May 15 to kill or be killed.

“I f***ing love that (my fight will serve as the opening bout for the main card). I think they (the UFC) know, hardcore fans know… I think I am a fans’ fighter and a fighter’s fighter. I come every single time with the same mentality… It’s kill or be killed, ready to die,” Shane Burgos added.

The best XM4 loadout in Black Ops Cold War Season 3

The best XM4 loadout in Black Ops Cold War Season 3

In terms of underrated weapons in the COD Black Ops Cold War Season 3, the XM4 might be an impressive up and coming assault rifle with an appropriate loadout.

While guns like the FFAR are still considered paramount, other assault rifles can certainly be effective, like the RAM 7 for example. The XM4 might also be considered one of the better ARs due to its impressive utility in midrange gameplay.

This gun can also have quick strafe speed with good attachments, which is something very valuable in Black Ops Cold War. It’s also, however, a gun with some unorthodox recoil, so this loadout should be used to make it easier to use.

Muzzle: SOCOM Eliminator

Although the XM4 has a couple of drawbacks, perhaps the biggest issue to address first is the weird recoil. This is where the SOCOM Eliminator comes into play. Outside of lowering muzzle flash, this attachment lowers vertical recoil. Combined with another attachment on this list, the SOCOM Eliminator can fix the weird handling of the XM4

Barrel: 13.7 Extended

Similar to the Agency Suppressor, the 13.7 Extended Barrel is great for increasing that bullet velocity that is so desired on the XM4. This increases bullet velocity higher than any other barrel in the game. In order for the XM4 to compete with some of the faster assault rifles in the game, as well as SMGs, the 13.7 Extended is just about necessary.

Stock: Raider Pad

Having high strafe speed is a very valuable buff to any weapon in Black Ops Cold War. Nothing is more annoying than failing to score a kill because the enemy is simply bouncing around shots. Thankfully, the Raider Pad boosts the XM4’s strafing so that users can cover more area with their shots in a quick manner.

Magazine: 60 round mag

The XM4 is one of the lucky ones to get a 60 round mag. Ammunition can come at a premium at times in Black Ops Cold War, so large magazines are going to seriously come in handy.

Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip

Again, the recoil with the XM4 can be a tad bit odd in Black Ops Cold War. The Field Agent Grip is one of the most stabilizing underbarrels any player can equip, though. This lowers both horizontal and vertical recoil, making it more than capable of keeping those shots on target.
