AppTrackingTransparency requirement update – News – Apple Developer

AppTrackingTransparency requirement update – News – Apple Developer

Late last year, to give you additional time to prepare, we had temporarily deferred the requirement to use AppTrackingTransparency when requesting permission to track users and access device advertising identifiers. This requirement now goes into effect starting with the upcoming beta update, and will roll out to everyone in early spring with an upcoming release of iOS 14, iPadOS 14, and tvOS 14. We encourage you to verify your app’s implementation of AppTrackingTransparency as soon as possible. Without the user’s permission, you will not be allowed to track them and the device’s advertising identifier value will be all zeros.

In an upcoming release of iOS and iPadOS, we will enhance SKAdNetwork and add Private Click Measurement support for apps, allowing advertising networks to better attribute advertisements that display within apps on these platforms. Private Click Measurement enables the measurement of ad campaigns that direct users to websites while preserving user privacy. Additional details are coming soon.

Loki Release Date Moved Up, New Episodes Every Wednesday

Loki Release Date Moved Up, New Episodes Every Wednesday

Loki is switching things up. “Wednesdays are the new Fridays,” Tom Hiddleston announced Wednesday in a short video, which revealed that his Marvel series was moving up its release date by two days to Wednesday, June 9. Accordingly, new Loki episodes will then release every following Wednesday on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar until the end of its six-episode run. That’s in contrast to the pattern followed by all other Disney+ weekly releases, including previous Marvel series WandaVision, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

“Look, I’m sorry to interrupt. It’s just, I’ve noticed that in these long superhero montages, Loki tends to get a bit left out,” Hiddleston says, as he interrupts a montage of Captain America, Iron Man and Thor symbols. “Even though, arguably, he’s incredible heroic himself. You know, cunning, charming. I could go on, but maybe, why don’t I just prove it to you? Wednesdays are the new Fridays.” Cut to an animated graphic that changes the Loki release date from June 11 to June 9.

The shift to Wednesdays still doesn’t solve the fact that Loki is seemingly set to clash with another major Marvel property: Black Widow. Given Loki episodes are going to be 40–50 minutes long as with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, I would expect one episode to release each week. If that’s the case, then Loki will wrap up July 14, five days after Black Widow releases in cinemas and on Disney+ with Premier Access. Is Marvel really going to let two of its titles overlap?

In Loki, the Avengers: Endgame variant of Loki from The Avengers runs afoul of the Time Variance Authority whose job is to ensure the timeline isn’t disrupted. TVA member Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) wants to use this time variant of Loki to fix the timeline, but naturally, things won’t go anywhere as smoothly. Gugu Mbatha-Raw co-stars as TVA judge Ravonna Lexus Renslayer and Wunmi Mosaku as TVA member Hunter B-15.

Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, Erika Coleman, and Eugene Cordero have undisclosed roles on Loki. Kate Herron is the director. Michael Waldron is the creator and head writer. Herron and Waldron also serve as executive producers alongside Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Stephen Broussard.

Loki premieres June 9 on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar. In India, it will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

PUBG Mobile India’s New Avatar ‘Battlegrounds Mobile India’ Announced

Krafton, the South Korean company behind PUBG, on Thursday announced Battlegrounds Mobile India as its dedicated game for the Indian market. The new battle royale game is touted to bring a premium, AAA multiplayer gaming experience along with exclusive in-game events such as outfits and features. Battlegrounds Mobile India will also debut with its own esports ecosystem that will include tournaments and leagues, the company said in a press statement. In addition to announcing the details about Battlegrounds Mobile India, Krafton released a video teaser of the new game that suggests similarities with PUBG Mobile, which was banned in the country last year.

Battlegrounds Mobile India will be available for pre-registrations before its official launch in the country, Krafton said. The new game is projected to be exclusive to India, and its logo will feature the tri-colour theme to attract Indian mobile gamers.

“Krafton will collaborate with partners to build an esports ecosystem while bringing in-game content regularly, starting with a series of India specific in-game events at launch, to be announced later,” the company said.

The company also claimed that all data collection and storage of Battlegrounds Mobile India will be in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in India and for players in the country. This could be in response to the government concerns over data privacy and security on PUBG Mobile that eventually led to its ban in September last year.

Google Introduces Entertainment Space for Android Tablets

Google has announced Entertainment Space for Android tablets that curates tailored content, including movies, shows, videos games, and books from various platforms in one place. This new one-stop, personalised space essentially offers an Android TV-like experience on Android tablets. While Kids Space, which was launched last year, is recommended for children under 9, Entertainment Space caters to “the rest of the family members”. Google says that over 30 percent more people started using Android tablets in 2020 as compared to 2019.

As per a blog post by Google, Entertainment Space will be available on Walmart onn. tablets in the US starting this month. Google says that it will be rolled out globally to new and select existing Android tablets from Lenovo, Sharp, among others later this year.

Entertainment Space will save time and help users avoid having to hop between apps to watch, play, or read. “Once you sign in to your subscription apps, Entertainment Space will show you your content in one place and tailored for you,” says Google. If multiple members of the family use the same tablet, users can also have personalised profiles.

Entertainment Space has three tabs on the top that will allow users to quickly choose whether they want to watch content, play games, or read books. In the Watch tab, users can move between streaming services they have subscribed to, and find movies, TV shows or videos, as well as rent or buy from Google TV. It also offers a ‘Continue Watching’ row — like the Android TV interface and that of most OTT apps — to quickly resume the show from where you left it.

In the Games tab, users can install and play games from Google Play store. It will also have a ‘Continue Playing’ row, just like in the Watch tab. The third is the Read tab that will allow users to read books. This section collates your existing ebooks and the ones you purchase from the Google Play store. Furthermore, users can also listen to audiobooks via the Read tab in Entertainment Space.
